The Lynton Downs Quarters were once home to many a cheeky shepherd or musterer or two. If the walls could talk, oh the tales, they would tell! We like to think they have been revamped with all modern comforts.
Inside you will find luxurious bedding, linens and comfortable places to relax and enjoy the stunning views across the farmland to the hills and mountain ranges and at night soaking in the outdoor bath gazing up at a multitude of stars is a treat to experience. The accommodation has still retained its quirky character which makes it plainly what it is today – The Quarters at Lynton Downs. The Quarters, suitable for 1 couple, is self- catering just bring the food, a drink you require and cook it on the oven and barbeque supplied. In the kitchen you will find all cutlery, crockery and pots and pans you need. The closest town for picking up food and supplies is Kaikoura 20 minutes away by car. If you feel like a break from cooking there are a wide range of cafes, restaurants and eating options available downtown, we are always happy to recommend!

Set in a private area surrounded by bush, relax in the outdoor bath and gaze at the stars ! Close to the farmyard area on a large sheep and beef farm with views to the mountains. Plenty to do , walks, close to Kaikoura with a wide range of activities and eating options and an easy day trip to Hanmer or Mt Lyford for skiing. Books , toys and games provided. Bring your own horses or bikes and plenty of parking for a boat. Special Attractions and Activities Nearby Beautiful walks, rides and scenery. View farming life according to the seasons with shearing, tailing, lambing happening at certain times of the year. Help feed the hens, pigs and sheep in the farmyard.
